NS

That 2-1 Ipswich match had fans from lots of other London clubs, so they would have contributed to your lock out. I remember seeing some gooners going into the South Bank. Someone asked "What are you doing here?" and they just said they had to see if we could do it. At that point, they were rooting for us, just to see a London club challenge Merseyside for the title.

I missed both of them... got locked out the Ipswich game... spent too long in the Boleyn... that'll teach us... same as the Chelsea game.... funnily enough all the games we went to earlier in the season you could just stroll in at 5 to 3 no probs... FUNNY THAT EH ???

Our school used to run a competition where the kids design the cover of the Kaleidoscope - the school magazine.

My offering that year was Kaleidoscope spelt out in body parts and bits of ex-spaceship (Challenger having blown up at the start of 1986).

Got a bollocking from the headmaster and told to do something else. Drew a caterpillar - and won.

Susannah Hoff.

Was always a close call between her and Belinda Carlisle when it came to night-time with my "special sock".

Main thing I remember about the concert was being able to look up the skirt of Susanah Hoffs (Bangles lead singer)... stuck in my memory that

Re: 1986
Sold, I'd forgotten what that concert was called.

I was there with one of my brothers, first time I'd ever tried shrooms, and had a fair few ales too.

Seem to remember it pissing down with rain at some point and sliding down a mudbank when Simple Minds were on.

Can remember very little else.

It confused me.

Toms.... that was the year before (85)... the 86 game v Forest was the infamous Johnny Metgod game... I think Parkes has still got bent fingers through that shot

West Tip won the National the same day we beat Forest away 1-2 with Goddard sliding in on the far post to get the winner!

Not sure how much I won on that day, I remember having backed about 10 horses!

I can remember being 8 that summer and it being a really happy, no worries time.

I can also clearly remember a couple of paedos chasing me and the girl next door on the way home from a school fete and trying to get us in their car.

That wasn't such a good memory.
